It is for those people who are looking for extra cash for those small things in life. I have not heard of anyone making a living from this, but it can be a stepping stone to something else.
The tools and training are built in, and experience is in your ball park.
They do have Customer Service by toll-free number 1 (800) 903‒9493 (US & Canada) from 8 AM to 5 PM PST, Monday through Friday. So it is not an issue for most users. They also have email support you can use to get a hold of someone.
To become a usertester is free, though you need to be very patient if you want to become one. There is a big list of people applying to become one.
UserTesting.com pays you $10 per test that you complete. All tests take under 20 minutes to complete so it’s pretty good money for your time. Though it’s pay per job, not the hour, much like a lot of freelancing work.
