Forever Living

Or forever in debt with thoughts of grandeur on making money beyond your wildest dreams. Everyone who has read my blog posts and for those who haven’t, know that I am completely against MLM companies out there. That being said, I still leave it up to you to form your own opinion on the simply fact that there are some good MLM companies out there that have potential.

Forever Living is not one of them. On the upside, they don’t charge an enterance fee, but on the downside, like most mlm’s out there, you can’t make any money unless you meet a certain quota. Just like doing sales work, they won’t pay you unless you meet a sales quota.

Coming from my experience as a salesman, if you don’t buy into the product, you can’t sell it. Forever Living boasts on their skin products having a powerful ingredient called Aloe Vera that gives it it’s healing abilities. Now I’m all for healing abilities but last time I checked, the health benefits of Aloe Vera isn’t something new.

Everyone’s had a sunburn a time or two in their lives and what product do you use to elevate the pain,, Aloe Vera. Last time I checked at the stores, Aloe Vera was being sold for 5.79 at walgreens, not the 19 dollars that they are asking for. Forever Living is repackaging a product that the public already knows about.

Now I would be doing you a disservice if I don’t give you the facts as well as my opinion. Forever Living is a Legitimate Multi-Level Marketing MLM company which was founded in 1978 by Rex Maughan, a long standing company with product lines spanning across healthy living to skin care.

They manufacture and sell wellness products based on Aloe Vera, that is their secret ingredient, if you get what I mean. They sell their products to over 9.5 million Forever Business Owners (FBO) worldwide.

If you want my opinion, worldwide and popularity doesn’t make a business’s potential good. It just tells you how closed mouth people are on how much people actually make in the business.

Can you make money?

That’s the question everyone want to know when researching a company, can you make money. Well I will put it this way, 95% of Forever Living Distributors are struggling to make ends meet. Not the ones at the top of the food chain (the MLM Pyramid), it’s those minions at the bottom of the totem pole that are actively trying to recruit people for their downline. The bosses are the ones making the big bucks and they tell the ones at the bottom it’s possible, so they continue at the insanity wheel.

The stratagies that Forever Living teach you will set you up for failutre. With every team, the education differs, but I’m talking about the majority.

95% is a big percentage

It is and I will tell you the same thing most people will tell you about mlms, you will fail in your first year.

Now why is that?

Because the skills you will need to suceed is often camoflauged with so much hype and hooplah, your confinced that all you have to do is show up. But it’s so much more than that, you will need to have one on one people skills and the abilitiy to convince people to buy into expensive product that you can easily get at a retail store.

The next skill you will need to have is the ability to get people to do exactly what you are doing

Here are the stratagies that your upline/sponser (Person who introduced you to join Forever Living) Will share with you and request that you follow:

Strategy 1: Creating a list of your family and friends and sell your opportunity to them

Strategy 2: Get your family and friends to do a 3-way call/meeting with your sponsor

Strategy 3: Host parties at your home

Strategy 4: Give away samples

Strategy 5: Promotional Materials of the company

Some of these are different wording, but most of it is your typical mlm strategy, which the core of it hasn’t changed at all. Once you blown though your family and friends, spent most of your money hosting parties at your home. Run out samples to give out, your basically pan handling the product on the streets.

It’s not a question on if you run out of leads, it’s a question on when. That is the problem in the MLM industry, once you run out of leads, your business is done.

To be successful in Forever Living, you need a constant flow of new customers.

Is there an upside to Forever Living?

Well, unlike most MLM’s out there, Forever Living Membership is free. The way you can make money is when someone busy the Forever Living product from you or from your downline (pople whom you have directly or indirectly introduced to the Forever Living Business.

No Initial investment
There is a money back guarantee
No Large inventory required, infact they prohibit you to have one
You can leave and return all the products you have purchased for the last 6 months with a money back guaruntee

High priced items as compared to store bought
Lack of educational tools
You will need to spend 400 per month on auto-shipment of product to qualify for an income
Commissions for beginners are only 5%

Its for the experienced Salespeople out there because no matter how well they tell you it’s easy, it’s not. You will need to be able to sell anything to anyone because no one will want to spend a high price for something they can get at a store.

Lets see, there is none besides the basic strategy of selling to friends, family and hosting the common house parties.

I’m not sure how well their support is for their products, but for the price they ask for them, they better provide quality support.

If anyone has experience buying from them, let me know and leave a comment below. I would sure like to know.

To sign up and become a Business Owner is free, but the price to stay in business in quite costly. I guess it’s to compensate the free entrance fee, but in my opinion, it’s quite deceptive.

Don’t take my opinion as fact, check it out for yourself and make sure your making the best decision because if you do decide to go with Forever Living, know that it will be a very long and disapointing journey.

If you are very good as selling anything to anyone, if you have a great mentor to tell you the truth about running a mlm business, then go for it.

Of course if your answer is no to any one of those questions, then avoid Forever Living like the plague. But don’t by any means give up on your dream of financial independence. There are so many opportunities out there that don’t envolve mlm strategies, you’d be selling yourself short if you think mlm’s are the only profitable business models out there.

I’ve had years experience as a salesperson, but I never likes pushing items people just don’t want. From a lot of the research that I have done on mlm’s, I’ve noticed that MLM is all about the “Push strategy” while Affiliate Marketing is about the “Pull Strategy”. In simple terms, Affiliate Marketing attracts customers while in MLM you need to source for customers.

  1. I’m not usually a fan of MLMs at all but the fact Forever Living is free to join sparked my interest.

But like you say, the thing I always come back to is, do I really want to be trying to walk around selling aloe vera products face to face and harassing my family and friends to try and get them signed up? No thanks.

If there was a way to do it online it would be better, plus you’re opening yourself up to a much wider audience. I think the reasons 95% of people fail in MLMs is because when you get to the bottom of the ‘people you know’ lis what do you do then?

I would love to find a way to generate new leads and make sales online because I think this is the way it’s going already.

Great review, thanks for just saying it how it is!

    1. There is a better way and it actually involves owning your own business, when you work for a mlm company, your actually working for the company. They claim that you are building your own business, but what they fail to tell you is that you are actually building it under their terms. So in fact, it’s a lot more like a job and less like owning your own business.
