Product Name: Advocare distributor
Overall Ranking: 4 out of 10
Price: $79 plus $50 annual fee
Owners: Charles Ragus
Website: www.advocare.com

My personal experience with Advocare

I was an Advocare rep for 1 year because I got suckered into it by my in-laws. Before that I was an ACN rep of which they criticized extremely, then they went and told me that Advocare was all the rage because it was represented by a Christian leader. I’m a Christian myself but I’m a little fed up with people buying a product because of someone they know represents it.

Advocare was founded by Charles Ragus in 1993 as an MLM company that distributes health and nutrition products. AdvoCare offers more than 90 general nutrition, weight loss, energy and sports performance products including Trim, Active, Well, Performance Elite, and the 24 Day Challenge. AdvoCare is a multi-level marketing company ( Check out my opinion on MLMs). In addition to revenue from product sales, AdvoCare distributors can potentially earn additional commissions from sales by their ‘downline’ distributors. – Wikipedia reference.

For the first level distributor, everything is expensive and can be found through a simple google search for a better price. The one product that they boast about is Spark of which I tried and then after while just went back to plain coffee which is so much cheaper. The stuff contains sucralose and artificial sugars, nothing really to boast about except its fancy name.

My wife went through the 24-day challenge and after 24 days I asked her when she was going to start. She told me she already finish it and I’m like oh, ok. People, if you want to look better, learn how to eat healthily, don’t depend on other companies to sell you quick diets and supplements. That being said, this company does sell the quality product, but it’s only affordable when you go up the ladder of in the multi-level part.

Build a healthy centered website

Check out my Review of Wealthy Affiliates and find out how you could build an affiliate website where you can talk about eating healthy. Recommend nutrition products at a better price. Check out this chart,

PROS/CONS

Pros
There are over 70 different products to choose from
Downline commissions are simple and straight forward
The vitamins and supplements used are at least USP grade
AdvoCare offers a debt busting program

Cons
Many of the products sold are not suitable for people with food allergies
AdvoCare uses GMO food items
It can be rather expensive
Most representatives make very little money

WHO IT IS FOR

For those looking to eat healthily and gain a little profit from it, don’t expect a very big profit from it though and by no means think about quitting your day job anytime soon. That being said, I personally still enjoy some of their products, but not all. A healthy lifestyle is something you need to learn yourself and should not depend on any company to do it for you.

TRAINING/TOOLS OVERVIEW

One of the pros that I mentioned is that their downline commission is very simple and straight forward. You can become a rep in a matter of minutes and start selling it.

SUPPORT

The support you get is from your upline, I personally didn’t get much support from them besides product information which is plainly on their website.

PRICE

The price to become a distributor is $79 plus a fee of $50 to keep being a distributor.

FINAL OPINION/VERDICT

This product is not for me and in fact, I actually got in trouble from my upline distributor for trying to sell them on eBay. In my personal opinion, it is not a business when you can’t decide what and where you can sell.

  1. This is why I try to do as much as research as possible before joining any business opportunities!
You could save so much time, money and effort doing a little research! Google has been my best friend when it comes down to helping me get away from scams!

I was close to spending hundreds of dollars before, but I looked up the business first and found just enough information to show me that I was on my way towards making a bad decision… but anyway, I’m really sorry about your bad experience with Advocare!

    1. Thank you for you personal experience in searching up business opportunities and yes, if you dont do your research first you could end up spending a lot of money and making nothing.
